The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
GFWC, its clubs and members remain committed to serving as a force for global good, as it has done since its formation 126 years ago.
The Newington / Wethersfield club was founded on February 1998 by Eleanor G. Fischer. The first meeting was held at Wethersfield Public Library. The Club was Federated in October 1999.
Our goal is to be of service to others, improve our social, cultural and physical environment and promote appreciation of the arts. We strive to become responsible leaders in our communities.
